The third Laughing Moon Con was a great success!

Held on December 17, 2011 at Desert Edge High School, the event brought more than 250 attendees.  Guests included artists, authors, vendors of all sorts, a stunt show with the Knight Rider car, a special movie trailer presentation, and a paranormal research group that revealed findings on the school's haunted auditorium. Games lasted from 11am until after 10pm, Attendees were able to participate in a variety of tabletop games beginning at 11am, and the dice didn't stop rolling until after 10pm.

A great write-up in the West Valley View about the event can be found HERE.

Overall, guests and attendees had a great time.  Our goal is to introduce the high school-aged crowd to the fun and excitement of the convention scene, and once more we were able to do that!

About Laughing Moon Con

Held at Desert Edge High School, students and families can enjoy the event with the local community.  All proceeds from the convention go to extracurricular clubs at Desert Edge (last year, the DE marching band was able to attend the Fiesta Bowl Parade along with the Arizona 501st thanks to funds raised from Laughing Moon Con).

For the younger generation, this is a rare chance to meet and speak with authors and artists during guest speaking engagements and panel discussions.  Learn about the writing process first hand, or watch a character sketch come to life!  Come spend the day under the Laughing Moon!

The day will also feature dozens of different gaming opportunities ranging from card games, dice games, and role-playing adventure games.  This is a fun way to socialize and spend a few hours in good company as you strategize, problem solve, and bring fictional characters to life.

There is an entire world of adventure and storytelling just waiting for you to discover!
